Travel Location: Rotorua,New-Zealand
We made it to Rotorua later in the afternoon, we could see and smell the town before we got there. The steam and smell rises from the geothermal areas well above the town. Stopped at a park in the center of town and had acloser look at these interesting places.
The water is really hot you can hear the boiling underground. The temp outside was quite cool so the steam was thick in certain places.
There are all kinds of mythical stories associated with the geyser and hot springs, the Maori like to claim they know the origin of all things.
