Natural Bridges National Park

November 9th, 2007 Bates' big trip

So Elodie and Charlie finally arrived much later than they thought, shattered and ready for bed. They quickly hoovered up the left-over burrito from Jont’s doggy bag which he kindly donated (they hadn’t eaten since breakfast). Next day was Jont’s birthday so he was woken by us singing ‘happy birthday’ to him and a plateful  Read More »

After leaving Mesa Verde we traveled into the Grand Canyon in Arizona. No pictures a person can take do this natural wonder justice. Cathedral coves

October 22nd, 2006 Coa_ch

After my cats pyjama adventure I headed off for the cathedral cove. This is a big cove that can be walked through when the tides are low. It was very nice. The weather started out cloudy but it cleared up when I got there. After the coves I moved over Tauranga. It was raining a  Read More »

Rotorua

November 27th, 2006 Phil Roberts

Apparently we caught Rotorua on a good day - good in the sense the whole town didn’t stink of rotten eggs. We didn’t really stick around for long, just a night, but I got up nice and early to have a look at the park across the road from the hostel which was dotted with holes  Read More »
