The first night of lights
Travel Location: Las-Vegas,United-States
The first sight of the Strip is always an exciting moment, even for vetrans like E & Me who were making the 4th and 5th trip respectively, in 3 years. We had to perform the ritual of pointing to the hotels and recollecting the stays. This was going to be our finest stay, in the tower rooms of Ceaser’s Palace.
The drive to the hotel was spent oogling at the other hotels, checking out the shows on the big bill boards, a small debate on which show we should watch and finally cursing the traffic on Las Vegas Blvd.
The walk through the Ceaser’s Palace Casino wasn’t any less distracting. We fought the costant urge to pull out some cash to feed the slots. We found our rooms and they were nice and romantic, high end decors with a touch of class. After having stayed at the worst, we had arrived in Vegas. My prior stays in Vegas had included the cheapest wings of Tropicana and MGM and they both were not much better than motels.
It was quite late by the time we assembled in a hotel room and the though of dinner was inter-laced by planning for the next 2 days in Vegas. There is always so much to do, too many options, too little time. There are the shows, the bars, the casinos and then just the hotel deocrs to admire. Too many options and too many opinions meant the focus shifted towards dinner and some gambling, we will take the decisions as they come.
