Ni Sa Bula !! Greetings from Fiji !
At the airport this morning, I experienced yet another “first” – I had to be weighed while holding my luggage!
You see, only 15kilos (approx 15lbs) of baggage is allowed and the plane’s weight has to be evenly distributed. As you can guess, this was a much smaller plane ! The plane ride was 45 minutes,over the most breathtaking views of reefs I’ve ever seen, to the southeastern island of Kadavu.
I had to be weighed while holding my luggage!
At the tiny airport, I was met by a representative of the hotel, and then I waded to the boat that would take me on a short 10 min. ride to the resort.
The owner, Bob was waiting on the beach to greet me ! After a quick lunch of veggie pizza, he showed me to my bure, or hut. Tranquil doesn’t even begin to describe the surroundings!
