Wednesday – Arrived in Perth and its cold and raining.  Apparently we have brought the weather with us.  Hotel not too great, complained and they moved us into the suite on the top floor.  Much more our style.  Roamed round the streets of Fremantle at night and found a local bar, a couple of Margaritas and a seafood platter later and everything looking a bit brighter.

Thursday – Visit to a local super market for provisions.  Oz quite expensive (around London prices).  Sun was out and wandered down to the local beach for picnic.  Then a first for us and visited a laundrette to do some serious washing.  Bottle of bubbles on our balcony in the evening and then onto more seafood for dinner. Richard trying his way round all the local beers.

Navigating around Perth

Friday – A day visiting Perth City.  Raining and overcast so thouhgt we would see some of the cities sites.  Not much to be seen if truth be told.  Onto Fremantle for a night on the town.  Very relaxed and chilled down here.  Sis would love it!

Sat – Took a trip down to Margaret River region (great wineries).  Quite a distance and the car radio was broken.  Had breakfast in Rockingham by Dolphin bay.  Called into Busstleton for a bit of snokeling and a vist to the underwater observatory.  Then onto Bunbury (not a lot going for it but a nice habour) and all the shops closed? Stressed Richard out by buying a tacky Aussie songs CD.  Watzling Matidla all the way home.  Tried to find a shop open but all we could find was the off licences (what a shame). Saw some wild Kangeroo’s on the journey home. Richard missed them as too busy watching out for speed traps.

Sun – Pickedup breakfast and stuff for lunch from the local market (just like Greenwich). Spent the day by the beach in the Sunset Coast.  Richard managed to catch some of the waves and we both caught a bit of sun.  Factor 50+ but still managed to get a bit tender in places. Spent the evening at a local Indian resturant.  The only one that was not an Italian.

Mon – Chill out day in Fremantle.  Richard not feeling too well with a cold.  Had a lazy morning wondering around then a healthly lunch.  Got a couple of health drinkd to try and boost our imune systems.  Afternoon by the pool followed by dinner watching the sunset go down over Fremantle. Really is a chilled out place.  Back to hotel for more packing.  Onto Ayers Rock tommorrow.
