Yes…you are supposed to be here at 7:59am!
Yikes, I don’t like having to be at my part-time job at 8am. I normally start at 10 am and I was trying to not have to come in until 9am, since I was the 3rd 8am person scheduled.
Wasn’t I in for a surprise, when I called to tell them I was running 20 min late! “Can I talk to Rosie?” And the response I got…Rosie had her baby an hour ago. Oh noooo, now I was really in trouble! Well, I couldn’t hurry any faster now.
So I wait for a cab and finally am on my way to work – along with my 2 suitcases that already feel like they will be overweight!
Work turned out to be fine. Dave and Jerry were both there when I arrived, so it wasn’t a total disaster. And Rosie had her baby before I left on the cruise – much to my predictions. However, I was betting on November 14th, not Friday November 13th!
My suitcases being so heavy, and me being lazy when I have some extra money in my pocket – I cabbed all the way to the airport from Rehab, not just to the train station. Honestly, I don’t know what was in my bags! I do know that I felt pretty miserable that morning with my packing job – I felt like I had completely over packed and wanted to dump everything out and try again. However, this was when I was already 10 minutes late and I just had to walk out the door to work instead.
I wandered around the airport waiting for my flight until Annie sent me a text message asking which hotel we were staying at. The answer…the one she booked!
Great flight with an interesting woman sitting next to me, who chatted right along until we landed.
The hotel shuttle finally arrived at the hotel (after making 2 trips back to the terminals before we could leave the airport to pick up more arrivals.)
And there is Annie-already checked into our room-reading one of the Vampire books
Another adventure awaits us tomorrow, this time maybe a little less adventure – considering we are about to depart on a cruise ship full of elderly people. However, have no fear, when Annie and Elizabeth are together, fun and crazy times are just around the corner.
