Headed down to Miami for a look around.. only wanted a squiz.. this way we can now say we’ve done Far East, North, West and South.. we’ve covered the ends !

Miami was just the Gold Coast but a little more ritzy. Driving down the interstate toward Miami felt like I was driving down the Pacific Highway, (Elanora, Currumbin, Coolangatta).. the city itself is very pretty but the beach in Miami doesn’t even come close to our Surfers Paradise, Qld in my opinion. The major difference between Miami and our Gold Coast would be the age of the buildings. Whilst Surfers and Broadbeach in Qld certainly have old retro type buildings, Miami Florida has art deco buildings everywhere.. my favourite. Those rounded corners and gawdy colours.. just precious. Some of the homes were stunning.. many mexicans working the gardens.. very lush, green and tropical… and that grass.. puts our Sir Walter Buffalo to shame.. the grass in Miami in some of these homes are just a sponge of cool green shag pile carpet.. glorious !

On the way to Miami.. the highways sure are perrrrrrrrty

Went for a walk around Miami and Al and Greggy had their hair cut by some cubans.. aaah.. they look less wooly and more human like again.. Handsome boys !

Had a late lunch and then headed back to Orlando.. back to the same camp ground we booked into a week before.. the one with the shuttle to Disney.. only THIS time we’re not waking up and getting on that shuttle.. (yipppeeeee)

Tomorrow and the next day we’re going to have to put in some big travel days. We’re heading for Nashville via Atlanta. This will mark 9 days in Florida.. we’ve got to get moving to get back to LA by around the 10th or the 12th or so or we’re not going to get to do all we want over the east coast.. so it will be an early start.

Happy New Year everyone. Hope you’re not too hungover !
