We realised tonight is our real half way point! Feels like we have had a lifetime of holidays over the last six weeks and still another new country to see; Nicaragua early next week.

Our plan was to make the dash across Honduras by bus but as the elections are currently going on it’s just too unstable to risk going across so we are booking flights to take us directly to Manugua in Nicaragua just an hour to fly from San Salvador. Not a single person we have me has thought the risk worth it as basically we could find the border closed in that 10hr window as we cross and it could mean a two week stay, curfews etc which would take our time in Nicuragua away. Nicaragua has been on our wish list for years and we can’t wait to see their pacific and go to places like Lake Nicuragua.

Off just a few miles down the El Salvador coast to San Blas to stay at the Punta Roca Surf Resort tomorrow, this country is so chilled we are looking forward to just doing more of the same and watching and listening to some of the best waves we could hope to see. As you know we long to live by the water and when we do buy a house it will definitely be as close as we can get – nothing like being able to fall asleep with that sound – lucky for us we have Felpham and Freshwater to already enjoy this in until we get our own place!

Love and pura vida to you all.
