Sorry guys, I am slowly catching up on my updating. Right now Im currently uploading the rest of the Berlin photos in my We enter Germany… entry, and right after I am going to upload the most that I can to my The 2nd Day entry from Amsterdam! Slowly but surely my friends.

Today we decided to take it easy so we took a day trip to Bruhn. In the morning we went to explore the cathedral, Cologne’s finest point. It is ginormious! It is churches like these that really make you believe in something higher. It is amazing how people could build something so spectacularly high, and with no help of machinery! I lit a candle and felt very settled. A priest came up and said they would be saying a 20 minute prayer if we would like to stay. We did and I’m so glad. The organ! IT was unbelievable. That is truley God’s instrument. It played for probably 10 minutes before and after the mass and that sound was creepy and wonderful at the same time. I wished so badly for the guy to play The Phantom! hahah. Then we said the prayer, most peopel saying it in German and then my lone English voice. Then we had lunch and made our way up the road to Bruhn. There was a castle there and my sister and I were delighted to see one. I was slightly dissapointed though, because it looked mroe like a French palace/manor house then a castle. It didn’t look like a castle at all. But it was amazing anyways. As we walked up, the sky took on an ominous look. The clouds were rolling and black as anything. We explored the gardens and then wham! The clouds opened and it poured. We ran for shelter, but there wasn’t much. The inside of the palace looked like a little village and instead of staying we decided to get in the car and drive to Bonn. This is where Beethovan was born. We drove around the town around but in the end we could not find his house and turned towards home. We went into a little Christmas shop before dinner ( Cologne is famous for their Christmas goods) it smelt sweet and was very quaint. It was the first time I felt I was in Germany. It was filled with all sorts of little typical German knick knacks. I was despressed we never saw any German architecture, but I guess that is because every city looks the same, and we would have had to go to the country. We then had dinner. The terrorist plan in England came up during dinner and was faintly disturbing. But I won’t go into detail on my inner thoughts because there are pictures to upload! and then we came back to the hotel. Tomorrow we set off for France! And we drive through Belgium! I am so excited for Paris. < 3
