A Day as a Tourist
Travel Location: London,United-Kingdom
Had a “Touristy” day in london yesterday… it was great! We began with a visit to Buckingham Palace, we couldn’t believe how many people were there… there were literally thousands. We couldn’t see a whole lot, but when the dudes with the funny hat’s left the gates, we got some good pics. The gardens around the palace are beautiful, we went for a short walk around them, and then saw a marching band, made sure we took some pics for James.
We decided to walk around and see St James’s Palace, and happened to meet a guard outside… took some classic tourist pics. We also saw the Royal Horse Guard at Whitehall (the place they stay), Ross got a pic with this guy. We have decided when we get to the Tower of London and see the Beefeaters, we will get a double pic of us both with one of them… then we’ll have the full collection.
We continued up to see Westminster Abbey, the House of Parliment and Big Ben, we decided that the House of Parliment was better looking than Buckingham Palace… funny that! We are going to go back to Westminster Abbey so we can go inside, we missed the visiting hours when we got there. Got a fab picture of Big Ben with a rainbow behind it… might frame it when we get back to Oz.
Ok, so how are we going with work…
Well I did two weeks at an awful school with horrible kids… well, most of them were horrible, I won’t go into details, but I won’t be going back there. I have a trial at a Private school who is looking at having me 3 days a week teaching music, I’m going to try to get them to let me teach RE there as well… we will see how it goes.
Ross is working at the Sainsbury head office at the moment (Sainsbury is like Woolies), he has a 4 week contract with them, apparently he’s not doing much more than changing lightbulbs, and he’s bored out of his brains, but it’s good money!
Make sure you check out all our photo’s from our touristy day around London…
